Four members of Diamond Facilities Support’s staff have received recognition for their work at the firm’s annual party.

Joe Hemmingway was named as Best Field Newcomer and Chris Coward was given Best Engineer, while Martin Large was awarded Best Office Support Newcomer, along with Tara Denton who was named Best Office Support Team Member.

Alex Brankov, Ian Hickin, Laura Mortimer and Sharon Putson were also nominated for the aforementioned categories respectively.

Adam Atkins, joint managing director at Diamond Facilities Support, said: “I’d like to thank the whole team for their continued efforts in what has been another year of successful growth for the company.

“People are our most valuable asset, and our 120-strong workforce makes our company the success that it is.

“Well done to all of the award winners and everybody who was nominated – they are exemplary role models for others in the business to look up to, consistently performing to the highest standards and going the extra mile for both colleagues and customers.

“We will need this type of approach and attitude in abundance for the next 12 months as we look to expand the business via a variety of avenues – so watch this space.”

TeamSport and Place First come on board

A Midlands based facilities management firm has made a bright start to the year by landing two six-figure national contracts with a go-karting attraction and a residential lettings company.

Diamond Facilities Support, based on Birmingham Business Park, is expanding both its leisure and housing portfolio by working with Team Sport and PlaceFirst on long-term agreements.

Team Sport operate 24 go-karting tracks around the UK, while Place First design, build and maintain their own neighbourhoods in locations such as Leeds, Hartlepool and Liverpool.

Both companies will receive a full service offering, ranging from a 24-hour reactive helpdesk and online management system, through to mechanical and electrical compliance, and quoted works.

Adam Atkins, joint managing director at Diamond Facilities Support, said: “These two contracts we’ve won typifies the wide-ranging client base we are developing via word of mouth, which is encouraging news for our continued growth.

“We are excited about our partnership with Place First. This is a new concept in re-energising depressed areas by bringing quality property to the private rental sector and modernising surrounding amenities.

“We are expecting to see this concept expand further around the UK in the near future, so securing this contract could be crucial.

“Team Sport is another fantastic win for us – these are highly popular venues that require frequent attention.

“Moving forward we will be focusing our efforts on expanding our business into markets including fire and security, commercial cleaning and drainage – our focus on direct employment will be key and sets us apart from the competition, we anticipate that 90 per cent of everything we do will be through in-house labour which is unheard of in the industry.”
